Nurture and Thrive Psychology Rockhampton are a team of registered psychologists who offer a holistic range of evidence-based interventions. It is our objective to tailor therapy to the client’s needs, considering developmental stages and presenting problems. We support children, adolescents, adults and families in Rockhampton through a range of psychological services including assessment, psycho-education, individual counselling, family counselling and group sessions.
Kaylene
Paradine
Kaylene Paradine is a psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with clients across the lifespan.
Kaylene is passionate about assisting individuals of all ages to recognise, and be in tune with, their inner experiences and overcome difficulties such as depression; anxiety; grief and loss; adjustment to life changes; trauma; behavioural and emotional challenges. Kaylene is an experienced Neurofeedback practitioner and has honed her expertise at the intersection of cognitive sciences and therapeutic interventions.
Kaylene has extensive experience in providing clinical supervision and delivering training on the effects of trauma; positive parenting techniques and positive behaviour management strategies, in addition to working with organisations seeking to improve team performance.
Emma
Richards
Emma Richards is a psychologist with over 16 years experience working with children and their families.
Emma has a history in child protection and extensive experience providing therapy with children who have experienced abuse and neglect. Emma has worked in private practice since 2019 and focuses on the treatment and assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g. Autism Spectrum Disorder - ASD, Attention/Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder - ADHD, Intellectual Disability and Specific Learning Disorders).
Emma has lived experience as a mother of children who experience attention difficulties.
Angylene
Woltmann
Angylene Woltmann is a Registered Psychologist with over twelve years experience working with children, adolescents and families.
She has a strong interest in supporting young people who are experiencing mental health difficulties, including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, stress, attachment problems, developmental delays and other behavioural and emotional difficulties.
Angylene has extensive training and experience in working with children and young people who have experienced trauma. Angylene is passionate about developing strong working relationships with her clients and their families to find effective and developmentally appropriate ways to support positive change.
Donna Kipling
Donna is our office administrator and has been with Nurture & Thrive Psychology since 2020. She is compassionate and understanding and here to help you feel comfortable and at ease when visiting our practice. She is responsible for administrative aspects of the practice and provides support to our clinicians. In her spare time, Donna loves to spend time with friends and family.
Steve Braun
Steve is a Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years experience working with children, adolescents & adults.
Steve has a special interest in supporting neurodivergent people, working from a client-centered, neuro-affirming approach. Steve has extensive experience in providing therapy to adolescents and adults supporting good mental health. Steve also provides assessment services, with an interest in the late diagnosis of autism and ADHD in females, adolescents & adults.
Steve also has extensive experience in providing clinical supervision and in developing and delivering training workshops.
Steve is available for in-person and telehealth consultations.
Summer Wilson-Zrno
Summer is a Provisional Psychologist, who, prior to working with us, spent 10 years working in the not-for-profit sector, first as a Support Worker, then as a Team Leader. Summer gained a breadth of experience working primarily with adolescents and adults experiencing severe mental health issues such as schizophrenia, bipolar and borderline personality disorder.
Summer has extensive experience working within the context of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), having been working in frontline services with clients during the first stages of the roll out in 2015.
Summer has special interests in supporting children and adults who have experienced trauma, adults and adolescents experiencing psychosis, as well as supporting individuals with autism to identify and develop their strengths. Summer is passionate about employing a person-centred approach to assessment and intervention to help people overcome difficulties and work towards their goals.
Amy
Gomersall
Amy Gomersall is a counsellor who provides individual services for children and adults as well as couples therapy.
Amy has a background as a lawyer and is highly experienced in dealing with separated couples, family law, and domestic and family violence.
Amy has a keen interest in helping families through challenging times and navigating the complexities of the court system.
Michelle
Goodsall
Michelle Goodsall is a Registered Psychologist with over 16 years of experience supporting families to achieve an understanding of their child's individual strengths, difficulties and support needs.
Michelle is experienced in the assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g. Autism Spectrum Disorder - ASD, Attention/Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder - ADHD, Intellectual Disability) in children under 10 years of age. She has a particular passion for the early identification of developmental differences and support needs in children under 6 years of age.
Michelle seeks to connect with relevant allied health clinicians, medical practitioners and/or educators in order to achieve an integrated assessment and goal-setting process. She strives to connect the dots across developmental domains in order to support parents/carers to understand their child's functional ability, establish appropriate goal, routines and strategies In the home, and help link families to other services when appropriate.
Natalie
Weber
Natalie is a Registered Psychologist with over 5 years clinical experience in working with adults, children and young people, and their families. Natalie has a passion to help clients discover their strengths and live meaningful lives.
Natalie has worked with clients experiencing a range of difficulties such as depression and mood symptoms, anxiety, a history of trauma, eating disorders, substance use, relationship difficulties, and challenges related to neurodiversity. Natalie has completed training in Perinatal and Infant Mental Health and has a special interest in supporting clients in their journey to parenthood and beyond.
